Beaumont Lodge is the perfect base for biking the Clutha Gold Trail and surrounding cycle trails in Otago.
Enjoy a continental breakfast each morning before being shuttled to the trail. Then return, each afternoon to a comfortable bed, ensuite bathrooms, outdoor hot tub & river views! No need to pack up your gear and with plenty of room for up to 10 people, your group can stay together.
Groups are also welcome to self drive the Lodge’s own Transfer Van & Trailer. Alternatively we can provide a shuttle service and transfers – dropping you off and collecting you further along the trail each day.
3 Day Clutha Gold Biking Package
Enjoy biking the Clutha Gold Trail without needing to pack up each day. Stay 3 nights at Mata-Au Lodge in a Queen en-suite bedroom, including breakfast each morning. Enjoy the convenience of daily transfers to the trail in the morning with pick up in the afternoon.

Package Itinerary:
Day 1: Your package starts at Mata-Au Lodge in Beaumont (near Lawrence). You can also choose to stay the night before your trail or add additional nights if you wish. Transfer to Roxburgh Dam (start of the Clutha Gold Trail). Ride the trail back to the Lodge. (55 kms).
Day 2: Ride from the Lodge to Waitahuna. (35 kms). You will then be transferred from Waitahuna back to Mata-Au Lodge for your second night stay.
Day 3: Morning transfer from the Lodge back to Waitahuna to continue biking to the trail-end at Lake Waihola. Transfer back to the Lodge for your final night or onto your next destination.
